WE HAVE MANY HOLIDAY VILLA`S AND APARTMENTS TO RENT LESS THAN 5 MINUTES DRIVE FROM THE NEW LO ROMERO GOLF COURSE PILAR DE LA HORADADA SO WHY NOT COME TO THE SOUTH COSTA BLANCA ALICANTE AND HAVE A ROUND OR TWO
LO ROMERO GOLF IS ABOUT 20 MINUTES FROM MURCIA AIRPORT AND AN HOUR FROM ALICANTE AIRPORT
This new golf course situated in Pilar de la Horadada, a town that already has a lot to offer in facilities just got a little bit more to boast about. Lo Romero, being a traditionally styled course makes it very playable by all; some will find it easy to make par on some holes and on others, they will have to prove their skills. Whilst on the course all clubs will be needed at some point, which indicates the diversity of the game here. Its original and interesting greens are smooth and easy to read alongside wide fairways. On foot, this course may be played in four hours and with the scenery that surrounds the area who would want for less. It has been very important to keep the course in harmony with its environment, that’s why only processed water is used and the drainage and surface water all has a complex system to be as eco-friendly as possible. They are also proud to say that local animals have been respected during the construction, as they will continue to be so in the future. Areas with active birdlife have been designed into the layout and preserved to create an entirely natural, Mediterranean surrounding. The first nine holes are smooth and easy going over where once lay a plantation of citric fruits. The front nine more or less follow the natural contours, the back nine is more motivating and runs though natural pine forest, and the sea breeze should be taken into account, yet here is where the best views can be found throughout the course of the Mediterranean and La Manga. The 370 metre, par four 18th hole is the signature of this course, an original and challenging end to the perfect game. “The island”, 731m2 with the tee on high, makes this last hole both stimulating and demanding for the player. The green fee at Lo Romero is set at 35 euros until the 23rd March, from the 24th March onwards the cost will be 45 euros. The course facilities at present comprise bar and café restaurant, changing rooms, practice putting green, driving range, chipping green and practice bunkers. The course is situated between Pilar de la Horadada and Campoverde in south Alicante
